Introducing Studious: the daily planner that keeps you focused

Why we built Studious

We all share the same problem: we plan our day, but often struggle to stick to it. Distractions pull us away from what matters. Social media, notifications, and the temptation to scroll make it nearly impossible to stay focused. Suddenly, we lose all control over our plan and our sense of time.

There was a real need for a tool that helps us execute our plans and protect our attention, without having to juggle between apps every time we need to focus. The idea for Studious was born from this frustration.

How it works

Studious connects to your calendar (Apple Calendar and Google Calendar) and automatically starts a focus timer when you have an event scheduled. During that time, it blocks the apps that distract you most. No willpower or complex setup needed. Instead of manually blocking apps when you feel motivated, Studious makes sure your attention is protected even when you're not.

We also know that scheduling your day isn't easy, and that this is why many people don't do it. That's why we designed Studious to make it incredibly easy to plan your time and keep it accurate as the day goes by. We created what we call Favorites: recurring events that can be added to your calendar with just one tap. We also built controls that let you manage your calendar directly from the focus timer.

What's next

Since our phones are the most likely source of distraction when we need to focus, we decided to concentrate our efforts on building the iOS version first. We are planning to bring Studious to macOS and iPadOS soon.
